Viva Entertainment's Featured Artist: Zyrene Parsad

We saw her recently at the center stage, proudly singing the national anthem in the latest fight of Manny Pacquiao with Antonio Margarito at Texas last November 14, 2010. Before the limelight, Zyrene Parsad also had been through trials that any aspiring TV personality faces first. The 24-year-old young singer is the third placer of “Are You The Next Big Star?”, a singing competition of GMA7 hosted by Regine Velasquez and Keempee de Leon. She competed with Camille Cortez and Frencheska Farr in bringing home the bacon.

Though she didn’t made it to the top, Zyrene Parsad continues to serenade us with her mellow voice. Some of her songs from her latest album are ‘Later’, ‘Do that to Me One More Time’, ‘Emotions’, ‘I Just Can’t stop Loving You’ to name a few.

Zyrene disclosed that she is very glad that she was given a break this year. In a one on one interview with her, she said, “It’s really a big blessing and an opportunity for me dahil ngayon, Viva gave me an album. It’s in the market right now. I’m very happy, I’m very blessed kasi all that I wanna do, all that I want to happen, nangyayari ngayong taon na ito”.

Is Jill Yulo ready to return to Showbiz?

After four years of hiatus in Showbiz, Jill Yulo is now officially back on the scene. According to the twenty-year old actress, she needs to reprieve her career first to focus more on her studies. Now, she is totally back!

Her last guesting was at ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya. Her last appearance on television was at 'Maria Flordeluna', also a program of the Kapamilya station, four years ago.

After leaving Showbiz, she focused herself in studying. She took up dentistry and culinary but her heart brought her into Psychology. Now, she is now on her 4th year in Psychology. 

When asked how does it feel returning to Showbiz, Jill lightheartedly replied,  “I am really happy but at the same time of course nervous.”

Even at the beginning of the interview, you would actually see the perky side of Jill Yulo. Her bubbly character brought up a light mood in the venue. She took courage to face once again the limelight of show business after four years of hiatus.

Meg Imperial could be the next sensation

Meg Imperial is one of the new aces of Viva's Artist Agency. Even before hailed as one of the prettiest ladies in the entertainment industry today, Meg Imperial had already made waves in the modeling scene. Meg, together with Sam Pinto and Bella Padilla are on the same management of Ms. Claire dela Fuente. Meg shared that they bond once in a while and gets the chance to know each other more with TV guestings and shows such as Midnight DJ. This sweet teen has a big passion in acting. As a matter of fact, Meg is a mainstay of shows Midnight DJ, PO5, Pidol in Wonderland and My Driver Sweet Lover that just recently aired last month.

Many artists who want to pursue and enter the one of the most celebrated industry, Showbiz, try to cope up first with the qualms of workshop to hone their talent more. One relevant factor that Meg has is her experience through various workshops since she was little. Not just she is focusing on acting, Meg had also gone through voice and dance lessons. Her dance and hosting skills are now developing since her participation in PO5. She gets the chance to learn Salsa, Hiphop and many more.

Viva creates pool of next Super Stars?

Five of today’s most promising young women in showbiz get closer to stardom through their launch as the latest faces among the stable of Viva’s management arm Viva Artist Agency (VAA). All five, namely, Sam Pinto, Zyrene Parsad, Jeff Gaitan, Meg Imperial, and Jill Yulo, are bound for some career breakthroughs en route to becoming big like VAA’s major stars Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go and Cristine Reyes.

Each of the five young ladies has what it takes to hit it really big. With the right projects and enough management support, it will not take long to see this particular group of girls unleashed power in the same breadth as that of Viva’s resident superstars.

Jef Gaitan's just friends with Mark Bautista

One of the favorites in the 2nd installment of Survivor Philippines, Jef Gaitan had already been modeling for product endorsements such as PH care, Jack n’ Jill, Jollibee and Globe to name a few even before entering the twist and deviations in the said reality show. In a recent media gathering where the Viva Artist Agency introduced their new and booming Viva talents, Jef Gaitan shared that she is very much inspired to pursue her career more.

Does this mean that she is inspired because of her co-churchmate, Mark Bautista? “I think andun kami sa side ng friendship pa”, this was Jef Gaitan, newest artist of VAA (Viva Artist Agency) said in an interview regarding her closeness to Mark Bautista. 

“Nung after ng workshop namin with Viva, siyempre nandun yung na-share mo lahat. During workshop, ini-invite niya ko to go to church. So yun, and then from then, nandun narin yung getting to know part. Pero now, wala pa talaga. I don’t wanna assume anything. Basta I know, we’re friends, we’re close and we’re trying to get to know each other”, she added.

Jeff is now part of Party Pilipinas and is expected to see more of her appearances at the Kapuso station. She is now planned to have appearances at FHM and Asia Brewery endorsements.

Sam Pinto: starter but already controversial

Even she just started off in the Showbiz industry a year ago, Sam Pinto already faces rumors and makes clarifications every now and then regarding her heart’s status.

She is hailed as the newest ‘It Girl’ in the showbiz industry. She has the looks, the charm and now she’s conquering our Primetime Nights with Ilumina (Weekdays), Bubble Gang (Fridays) and her anticipated movie with Senator Bong Revilla, ‘Agimat Sa Mundo Ni Enteng Kabisote’, an entry to the MMFF this December.

Sarah Geronimo misses the cast of 1DOL

It had already been a week since the ending of Sarah Geronimo’s latest teleserye, 1DOL. She already found a new home with the cast of 1DOL. Together with her co-singers, co-actors, staff and crew, Sarah Geronimo also misses the bonding behind the camera. She admitted that she has this little disarray when it comes in parting ways with her character in most of her teleseryes and movies.
  
When asked what she misses in 1DOL, Sarah paused for a moment and smiled as she said, “Siyempre lahat. Lahat ng mga katrabaho ko dun at saka yung pagiging Billie ko. Sakit ko yun e. Sa isang project yung detachment anxiety ba tawag dun? Especially sa character ko talaga kasi sa lahat ng pino-portray ko na role, na character, talagang naaabsorb ko siya the moment na pumunta ako sa set, di na ko si Sarah, nagiging halimbawa yun nga, si Billie na ako, si Billie. Naminsan nauuwi ko rin sa bahay yun. So yun yung mami-miss ko.
